A good group of ladies enjoyed a creative evening making Christmas wreaths and decorations.
We had good fun at our quiz night and a great opportunity to share the good news with a number of guests.
We enjoyed our Church Christmas dinner at the Hope Centre, cooked and served by a team of church volunteers. There was turkey/pork and all the trimmings, followed by pudding and chocolates. Paul gave a short gospel talk about how God sent his only son Jesus to earth for us.
We had our Summer Picnic at Temple Newsham. We enjoyed lunch together and then a time of games. Thanks to everyone who came along.
Throughout December we had a number of Christmas events for all ages to enjoy. From a Community Carol Service with everyone’s favourite carols to ‘Jilly Rogers Christmas Adventure’ brought to us by 4front theatre, there has been lots going on to celebrate Christmas. We spent time focusing on Jesus birth and being reminded of how Jesus is the greatest gift of all.
We had a thanksgiving dinner to give thanks to everyone involved in the work and support of our new building and to give thanks to God for his provision. We really appreciate everyone who has been involved. We enjoyed delicious food from our next door neighbours The Balti House.
Land Ahoy! was our pirate themed holiday bible club. We had great fun playing games and making pirate crafts. Each day we heard a story from the bible about how Jesus came to save us from all our sin. We ended the day with an exciting quiz, such as human pop-up pirate! The winning team enjoyed pieing the pirate right in his face! Keep an eye out for future holiday clubs at Hope church.
We had a church walk along Stanley Ferry. We enjoyed the scenic views and time chatting together. After the walk we enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant.
