At our Community Carol service we enjoyed singing Christmas Carols and remembering that Jesus is at the centre of Christmas.
On the 18th of December we held a Christmas is coming event. There was a variety of activities to enjoy including light displays, a make your own cone snowman, a Rudolph and sleigh, a life size nativity scene, and of course the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and let him know what’s on your Christmas wish list. People enjoyed hot punch and mince pies and an evening of getting into the festive spirit.
We had a great evening of Christmas crafts in the our Hope Centre Cafe. There was a good crowd of Ladies making Christmas wreaths and enjoying time together.
We are thrilled that we are now in our new building most of the building is now finished. A huge amount of work has been done over the past two years by a great team of professionals and volunteers. We have seen a mini supermarket transformed into a fantastic church building.
Many both inside and outside the fellowship have given sacrificially to fund the project. We are grateful to God for all who have partnered with us in this work. Now comes the really challenging part, using this as a ministry tool for the work of the gospel.
Work is progressing on our new building. Paint is going up on the walls, electrics have been installed and we are excited to see things coming together. A big thank you to everyone who has given time, money, resources and skills to help our building Project. We still have a lot more work to do, but look forwards to the day we can move in.
On New Years Day we had our Church Walk at Yorkshire Sculpture Park followed by lunch. Hope Church wishes everyone a Happy New Year.
We had a great time at our Community Carol Service. We enjoyed singing some upbeat songs, musical performances, bible readings and we even had a giant present to unwrap to remind us of the very best gift of all - Jesus! Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and talents into helping run the carol service.
This Christmas we have filled shoeboxes with gifts for Children. Samaritans Purse are sending them out all over the world to show Gods love to children this Christmas time. Thank you so much to everyone who has filled a shoebox and helped out with this great cause.
