For a number of years we have been praying about the possibility of having our own building and the Lord has answered our prayers in some amazing ways. We have been able to purchase a mini supermarket which we are now transforming into a centre for our activities. We are very excited about the potential in that this will bring for serving our community.
Happy New Year! We started off 2019 with a walk through the lovely Yorkshire countryside. We spent time chatting and taking in the views of Gods beautiful creation and afterwards enjoyed a tasty lunch.
Thank you to everyone who came to our Community Carol Concert. We were led by Tingley Brass Band for singing traditional carols and Pastor Paul gave a short Christmas talk.
We held a Ladies Christmas Craft Night with a variety of different festive activities. We made Christmas wreaths and flower decorations, Christmas tree ornaments and decorated gingerbread cookies. It was a fun festive evening of creating and chatting. Thanks to everyone who came, we hope to see you again soon!
A relaxing day of fellowship around tasty food and in lovely surroundings was had by all on this years church awayday. Click the images below to see what we got up to…
Once more this year the weather was brilliant as we took over Blackgates school field for the family fun day. Hundreds of people came to enjoy the various activities, have a bite to eat and just chill out. This year there was a climbing wall for the more active adrenalin seekers which seemed to go down well. Being the year of the world cup we had our very own penalty shootout competition which was great fun. In the full heat of the sun the wet sponge throwing seemed to go down well. There were also the usual races in the arena; egg and spoon, sack, running, and then the tug-of-war. All in all a great day out at no charge with Hope church seeking to bless the local community.
